South Hill Park Relaxed Performances and Dementia Friendly Screenings

Dementia Friendly Screenings

Specially designed screenings for people living with dementia and their carers.

With lights left on low and sound level reduced, these relaxed screenings are on the second Monday of each month. Doors open at 1.30pm for a 2pm start, with a short interval. Complimentary refreshments are provided after each screening. All staff and volunteers are Dementia Friends. When booking please advise if you require wheelchair access.

Summer Cricket session in Bracknell – South Hill Park, Every Week!

Sport in Mind is starting a new Summer Cricket session in Bracknell – Wednesday - 11.00pm - 12.30pm at South Hill Park, Ringmead, Bracknell RG12 7PA (meet in North Park opposite the house) for anyone over 18 experiencing mental health problems and carers (Running until 15th August the following week will have a Berkshire wide Cricket tournament in Windsor).

Sport in Mind delivers free sport and physical activity sessions to help people experiencing mental health issues (18+). All our session are delivered by qualified coaches and are drop-in sessions, so no need to book in advance. They are open to all abilities, with the aim of having fun in a safe and supported environment. We provide all the equipment so participants will just need to wear comfy clothes and maybe bring a bottle of water! Morrison stores introduce Quieter Hour

Every Saturday morning between 9am and 10am Morrison stores have introduce a Quieter Hour, which will include:

  • Dimming the lights
  • Turning the music and radio off
  • Avoiding making tannoy announcements
  • Reducing the movement of trolleys and baskets
  • Turning checkout beeps and other electrical noises down
  • Placing a poster outside to tell customers it is Quieter Hour
